In recent years, social media has gone from a new idea to an absolute must for marketers. Of all the new media marketing platforms, social has most thoroughly turned traditional marketing on its head. Out of more than 4 billion people around the world using the internet by 2018 with average 6 hours each per day, ¾ people using social media with 90% accessing  their chosen platforms via mobile devices. In addition, with a location-based scan, users can connect with nearby people, search and make friends and you can share your current location with a friend while chatting.

Zalo offers in-app payment features, allowing users to pay bills, order goods and services, transfer money to other users, and pay in stores via NFC, QR codes. The service has around 1.2 million retail locations nationwide. And it was ranked the 3rd payment application of the year at 2018 Tech Award ceremony.

The company has tapped into the mobile e-commerce world and integrated with BoxMe and the Shipchung platform to help the sellers with professional assistance in e-commerce matters.

As HCM City Power Corporation (EVN HCMC) has launched new Zalo service in which customers will receive information about their electricity usage and power-cut schedules via phone number customers used to sign up for EVN. Based on that practice, other brand can also send monthly message for their loyalty program, promotion details and new products launched to keep in  touch with customers. Taking motor vehicle manufacturer industry as an example, Zalo can be a tool that helps the user to find the right model, during the purchase find the store and after the purchase stay connected with the brand.
